Enter Your Vehicle

How to Enter:

  1. Take clear, well-lit photos of your vehicle from every angle, including the interior, under the hood, in the trunk, and any other angles and close-ups that showcase unique or important details.

    1. See the sample entry lower on this page for examples of the angles that judges want to see.

    2. Upload these photos to your computer in a file that will be easy for you to find later.

    3. OPTIONAL: You may also choose to film a brief walk-around video showcasing your vehicle and all its details. You will need to upload this video to YouTube in order to include it in your entry. This video is not a substitute for photos, but merely an addition to your entry.

  2. Go to the entry thread on the ClassicMotorsports.com forum. Ignore the instructions on that page, they are duplicates of these instructions.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

    1. If you’re logged in, you’ll see a box to write a comment.

    2. If you aren’t logged in or haven’t made an account yet, click the button that says Log in and either sign in with your existing account or click the link to Sign Up and follow the instructions to make your account. Log in to your new account and return to the entry thread.

  4. In the comment box, type the information about your vehicle for the judges to read, including:

    1. Car: (The vehicle’s year, make, and model)

    2. Owner(s): (Your first and last name)

    3. Location: (The city, town, or general area where the vehicle is located)

    4. Proposed Class(es): The judging class or classes that you would like your vehicle to be considered for.

    5. Details: In about 100 words, tell the judges the story of your entry - where it came from, how you got it, and what you’ve done to make it the concours-worthy vehicle it is today. If you were invited to enter by a participating concours, please include the name of that concours in the last line of this section.

  5. Upload your photos (Click here for a video of how to do this) by clicking the “Image” button at the top of the comment box (this button is an icon that looks like a picture of a landscape with a sun in the top left corner and mountains at the bottom).

    1. Clicking this button will open the Image Properties box. Click the tab in this box that says “Upload”.

    2. Click the button that says “Add an Image”. This will open your computer’s file explorer.

    3. In the file explorer window that has opened, find and select the first of the images of your vehicle that you took in step 1, then click the button in the file explorer that says “Choose”. The file explorer window will close automatically and the Image Properties box will begin uploading your photo. This may take a few moment - you’ll see a progress bar.

    4. When the upload is finished, the progress bar will disappear and you can click the green “OK” button to add the photo to your comment. Repeat the photo upload process until all of your photos have been added to your post.

  6. If you are including a video in your submission, upload it to YouTube and make sure you add a link to it in your comment. Click here for instructions on how to upload a video to YouTube.

  7. Once your comment contains your typed vehicle information and all of your photos, click the blue “Post” button at the bottom of the comment box to submit your entry.

Sample Entry:

Car: 1965 Lotus Elan

Owners: Tim and Margie Suddard

Location: Ormond Beach, FL

Proposed Class: Sports & GT Cars (1960-1969)

Details: This late Series 1 Elan was found in a field near Traverse City Michigan. It was badly broken and beaten after getting badly damaged in an accident in the late sixties and left outside for nearly 40 years.

We found this car, with its original engine and transmission and painstakingly, and correctly restored it in our home shop in less than two years. Our goal was accomplished to have the car done and on the lawn at the Amelia Island Concours in 2018.
